SOLD: Sgian Dubh

An old friend commissioned this Sgian Dubh, which is a traditional Scottish highlander dress knife. The idea is you tuck it into your sock or kilt and then use it to stab lowlanders or cut the cheese.
I really like this knife and I almost kept it for myself.
I tried my hand at tooling a Celtic knot on the front of the scabbard, it turned out ok.
Cocobolo scales, brass bolster and butt, mosaic pins.

SOLD: 2 shuckers

Part of the same X-mas commission for a friend. These folks have served me oysters on so many occasions, it was a joy to get to put some love into their oyster toolset.
Oyster shucker/bottle opener 1: 01, Olivewood, brass;
opener 2: 01, African Ebony, brass

SOLD: Camper

A friend commissioned this as an X-mas present for her husband, who is also a friend. She didn't have any specific requirements other than a camping knife. I think it turned out pretty nice. It's almost got a fighting style to it. The clip point just sort of happened when I decided to regrind the profile after I didn't like how it was initially turning out.
01, Bolivian Rosewood, brass, mosaic pin.

Kitchen knife repair

My Aunt asked me to repair the handle on her favorite kitchen knife.
African ebony bolster and the handle is olive wood. Spacers are dyed veneer.

SOLD: Lead lighting knife

A friend who makes stained glass asked for this one. It was the first time someone asked for a specific design and it was a fun challenge. I don't think I want to work with lead full time. My garage isn't set up for it, but I like how this little knife came out.
O1 with African ebony scales, brass and green dyed veneer liners. The butt has a few oz. of lead cast onto the tang.

SOLD: Hunter for my Pop

Made this one for Father's day for my dad. It's O1 steel with handle scales made from the same hunk of African Ebony as my knife. We were on the trip to Africa together, so it seemed like a good choice to commemorate the trip. The bolster is brass and black g10 stacked and the handle has black g10 liners next to the tang. I took forever making this one and Dad got it late.
