AVAILABLE: Bowie (Jim, not David)

This is a Bowie-style hunting knife. It's big: blade is 7 3/4", 13 1/2" overall length. Hand-forged from 5160 (leaf spring) steel with some brute de forge marks left in. Brass and Ebony stacked bolster, African Ebony handle, copper and mosaic pins. This one took a while. Thanks again to @rueandrosephotography for the photos.

SOLD: 2 shuckers

Part of the same X-mas commission for a friend. These folks have served me oysters on so many occasions, it was a joy to get to put some love into their oyster toolset.

Kitchen knife repair

My Aunt asked me to repair the handle on her favorite kitchen knife.
African ebony bolster and the handle is olive wood. Spacers are dyed veneer.

SOLD: Hunter for my Pop

Made this one for Father's day for my dad. It's O1 steel with handle scales made from the same hunk of African Ebony as my knife. We were on the trip to Africa together, so it seemed like a good choice to commemorate the trip. The bolster is brass and black g10 stacked and the handle has black g10 liners next to the tang. I took forever making this one and Dad got it late.

Camper

This is the one I kept. It's based off of a Boker design I liked. The handle scales are made from a chunk of African Ebony I picked up in Zambia. I asked some vendors at one of the markets if they could get me a raw hunk of the wood they were using to make carvings and they obliged. It took 3 of them almost 10 minutes to saw me off a hunk. :)
